NARST 2025 Poster: The Body and Explanation

Genelle presented a poster at NARST 2025 titled “The Role of the Body in Supporting Mechanistic Explanation.” The students and teacher featured in the poster are also featured in our website case, “See this?” How Gesture, Investigation Materials, and Visual Resources Can Support Explanation. The poster provides a deeper examination of how gesture and material interaction supported explanation development in this class and makes a case for understanding gesture and embodied learning as modeling practices.
